New washable 12mm Tactile Switches

New washable Tactile Switches in size 12mm (TP57 series) extend the wide product program of Greatecs. For the first time it is possible to fulfill the request for washability at these larger switches with an edge length of 12mm. The offered switches are available with SMT and THT terminals. Another highlight is the environmental compatibility due to the use of halogen-free recyclable materials.

There are 5 different actuating forces available with values between 100gf and 520gf. For the actuators the customer can choose a flat 4.3mm stem or a 7.3mm shaft for slip-on caps. The slip-on caps have a round or square shape and are offered in 8 different colors.

The high valued switch contacts offer a precise and reliable operation over the entire lifetime of 1,000,000 electrical life-cycles. Specifications, samples and series quantities are available at Greatecs.

"New vandal-proof and water-tight pushbutton switches

New vandal-proof and watertight pushbutton switches extend the wide product program of Greatecs. The offered switches (PAV22 and PAV25 series) are vandal-proof according to IK10 standard and dust / water-tight according to IP65. Due to the use of high-quality stainless steel these switches are suited for harsh environments and public areas.
Customers can choose between a dot type and circle type of LED illumination, the standard colors are red, green, yellow, orange, blue and white. There are several standard engravings available, customized markings are also possible by request. The mounting holes have a diameter of 22mm (PAV22 series) or 25mm (PAV25 series). Both series are available as momentary or latching switch, the mechanical life-time is min. 1,000,000 cycles.

The IK10 standard means a resistance to impact energy up to 20 Joule. In summary the new switches series offer an innovative solution against vandalism and the ingress of dirt and water. "Green" switches with halogen-free materials

Five new series of halogen-free and recyclable switches expand the product range of Greatecs. Due to the use of environmentally friendly materials the components can be submitted to a recycling process. At the market launch the series include DIP, slide, standard tactile, low profile tactile and double action switches.

The recyclable DIP switches (DX48H series) have a small size (1.27mm pitch), SMT terminals and are available with 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 positions. At the beginning the SMT slide switch will be offered in a 4 positions version (SB89 series), more options are in planning stages. The standard tactile switch has the classic SMT 6x6mm design (TP38H series) with 10 different heights. A very low profile of 0.8mm and 1.5mm height is offered by the thin tactile switch series TP89. The double-action switches (MB9 series) are popular in digital photo cameras. The very important fire protection according to UL94V-0 (self-extinguishing) is ensured by the use of innovative LCP plastic materials.

The new SMT Tact Switches with long travel

The new SMT Tact Switches with long travel (TP36 Series) extend the wide product range of GREATECS. Tact Switches with long travel offered in numerous varieties can be processed with the Surface-Mount-Technology. These modern components are suitable for applications such as Automotive, Industrial Technology and Automation.
The new SMT tact Switches provides a long travel of 1.3mm over the entire lifetime of 30,000 mechanical life-cycles. The customer gets a smooth tactile feeling with a silent actuation due to the use of the silicon dome. The maximum allowable operating temperature is -40° to + 85°C, the maximum current rating is 5mA / 12VAC. The Series TP36 has a size of 6x6mm and it is reflow solderable at 260°C, 10 seconds. The user can choose between the operating forces of 200gf or 350gf.
